Red Head Wrap is what I would term the “sophisticated lady” of this ongoing series of black women in all our majesty. Even though the scroll work does play a very important part of the creative process in completing this work I believe the position of the hand in Red Head Wrap with her index finger softly touching her chin says, “I’m listening and I hear you. I will also wait patiently to speak. I am not in a hurry for anything…I’m a lady”.
Red Head Wrap size is 9” x 12” and created using watercolor paint, graphite pencils, markers and colored pencils.
